![]() ![]() This platform collection is a must buy for everyone, Developer Vicarious Visions did fantastic work and all remasters should be like this.Ever since the first Crash Bandicootgame was released on the PlayStation 1 back in 1996, the orange marsupial has been one of gaming's most iconic and recognizable mascot characters. I was too young to remember if this was an issue with the PSOne games too or if this is something that came up with remastering it.Ĭrash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy The challenge from the first Crash, the fun and variation from Cortex Strikes Back or the funny moments from Warped. This becomes rather annoying when you go for the gems, a requirement for that is not to be hit. Multiple times Crash was hit by an obstacle or enemy while I would swear that he was centimeters away from getting hit. One thing that frustrated me was the hit detection. Not only too difficult is an issue, it is a little weird to have a boss fight that you can finish in ten seconds. You can run out of lives though and that’s exactly what happened in the two aforementioned levels, forcing you to completely replay the level. Checkpoints happen often (if you don’t miss the box) so you won’t have to replay a lot. But these two levels show precisely how unbalanced the difficulty can be, especially in the first Crash Bandicoot. I’m just going to place two levels here without further explanation “Road to Nowhere,” and “High Road.”Īlright alright, this is a review so that’s sadly not something I can do.I was overly happy about hearing all the great sounds again. Even to this day I still remembered some sounds and music from the PSOne version.Boss fights look really charismatic too, you really start to love each and every character that you come across. Getting crushed or burned up is hilarious, you clearly see the sharp and highly detailed character models in these moments. ![]()
